General Norms Of Examination Test

  • 1. All the students should be present in their examination room at or before the first bell.
  • 2. As soon as they enter the examination room, silence must be observed till the end of the examination.
  • 3. All articles like books, bags etc, should be kept in front of the classroom before taking the seats. Check that no papers are on you or inside the desk.
  • 4. Each and every student must try his level best to maintain a calm, peaceful, anxiety free atmosphere that will be conducive to writing the Examination. Any student who does not respond to the instructions will be dealt with as per the rules and regulations of the school as given in this diary and as contained in the oral instructions given from time to time.
  • 5. Students should not bring any books or paper personally. All should bring the necessary requirements for the examination.
  • 6. No student will be allowed to borrow or lend article during the examination.
  • 7. Names and Roll Nos. should be written on question paper immediately after receiving them. Nothing else should be written on the question paper.
  • 8. No student will be sent out of them examination room before the end of the allotted time for the paper. Hence, those students who are in the habit of hurrying in their works should concentrate and give a better quality works over the whole allotted time for the paper.
  • 9. If a pupil is caught using unfair means in any examination, he/she will not be allowed under any circumstances to appear in the remaining subjects. He may also be asked to leave the school.
  • 10.While answering the papers, the following norms are to be remembered:
  • a) Read the whole question paper at least once before you begin to answer.
  • b) Fill all the details on the answer sheet before starting the paper.
  • c) Write question numbers correctly with blue ink. Underline the important points with blue ink. After completion of each answer, draw a line with pencil. Do not use red ink for any purpose.
  • d) Students should cover their answer sheets with a blank foolscap paper.
  • e) Do not use ball-point pens for any purpose (up to IX)
  • f) Write roll number, standard and section on each supplement as soon as you receive it.
  • g) For rough work a separate sheet can be used and this sheet should be attached with the answer paper later on. For Math’s rough work should be shown on the answer sheet itself. For this purpose a margin should be drawn on the right side of the answer sheet.
  • h) Ask for supplement before you complete writing your answer on the last page with you. This will enable you to save time to write more in your answer sheet.
  • i) Students should tie the supplements immediately after the warning bell and then only continue writing. The answer sheets are to be properly numbered and tied together (page wise not sheet wise.) The total number of pages should be written on the front page)
  • j) If there is any doubt, students should raise their hands and ask the invigilator. Do not clarify any doubts by discussing them with your classmates/companions.
  • k) Make sure you read carefully the answer in order to ascertain the right answer to the question asked and to correct simple mistakes that crept in.
  • l) Students should check all the pages of the question paper and satisfy themselves that they have answered all the required number of questions. In case they suspect the existence of any printing error (e.g. blank page) they should contact the invigilator.
  • m) Check carefully the question numbers, division, subdivision. Read the instructions on the question paper again and counter check the written answer.
